Rich Dad, Poor Dad - A Review

So you are thinking of reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki but you are not quite sure that it is worth the read. If you are currently self-employed or in full-time employment and looking to get out of the 'rat race' then the book is well worth a read. You may be interested in building a strong asset column with the hope of someday retiring early so that you can ultimately travel the world. The trick is that you may not be able to do this in your current situation simply because if you don't show up for work you will not get paid.

So how does Rich Dad Poor Dad help with this long term dream? Well apart from changing your traditional way of thinking it opens up your world to the idea of passive income streams. This means that your money will be working for you over a long period of time so much so that one day you will no longer have to work for money anymore because your money will be working very hard for you so that you can retire early.

How long will it take? It all depends on how badly you as an individual want to generate your passive income as well as how wisely you invest what you have. In other words you don't have to be in a high paying, high flying job in order to build an asset column. In fact, you need to be smart with the money you have and pay yourself first then pay the others last. You need to ask yourself a BIG question; "What Am I Willing To Sacrifice Now In Order To Improve My Future Prospects". Of course if the answer is nothing then please stay where you are and don't read Rich Dad Poor Dad.

Does he give you the ideas and leave you hanging? Of course not! I have read many books at this stage that give lots of ideas and ways on how to retire early etc. However, Rich Dad Poor Dad is one of those books that tells you 'how he did it' and also tells you 'what else he did' to achieve his successes. You are probably wondering if he was just lucky all the way and the good think is he puts in the good, the bad and the ugly so that you can learn from his mistakes.

What do I get for this book review? Nothing! i just like helping others achieve success because the world is all about giving.

The Secret Unfolded - Unlock Your Personal Wealth

For many generations people all over the world have been in search of a better, simpler, more rewarding lifestyle. Now with the advent of the Internet someone is able to find what they are looking for just by using an efficient search engine that shows the results that you want as opposed to searching in lofts, old attics and an antique collection. We now have everything we want in an instant no waiting. The truth is though that somethings change while others remain more or less the same.

For example even with the advent of the Internet 95% of all new businesses still fail. Why is this? The necessary market research and feasibility study can now be conducted via the Internet. There is a host of information on creating business plan, cash flow statements, funding, financing options, time management, marketing advertising. Every positive support and mentor is available at their disposal online.

Here are some possible reasons for failure:

1. Lack of motivation
2. Business owner not fully prepared
3. Business not well funded
4. No time manangement skills
5.Owner not recognising his/her personal potential
6.Secret principles not fully understood
7. Incorrect goal setting technique

So how do we as a society try to improve that statistic? Is there a step by step guide available on "How To" apply the principles of the secret and actually get results in 6-12 months.
